In partership with Ecan, we running some free 'energy efficiency' seminar evenings around Canterbury (each from 7pm to 9pm) during winter 2010. No need to book - just turn up, and bring a friend! These are on Mon 5 July at Rolleston Community Centre; Tues 6 July at Ashburton Hotel in Racecourse Road; Mon 19 July at Rangiora Community Gardens (Classroom), next to the High School and Weds 21 July at Aoraki Polytechnic, Godley Building. We will also have a information stand and provide talks at Eco-Expo in the Christchurch Convention Centre on the 24-25 July weekend. Enquiries to Rhys on 03 960 2656

In Term One 2010 a fully-subscribed course ran at Avebury House, organised by Shirley Boys High School. Evening courses were offered from April at Riccarton High School and Hagley Community College. The next Christchurch evening course is at Risingholme Community Centre, Opawa starting Wednesday 28 July, for 8 sessions, 7-9pm weekly. Although TIMARU DISTRICT have yet to join the Programme, they are considering it in this year's Annual Plan process. WEST COAST Region withdrew from the programme for 2008-9 (in part due to a lack of available NGO partners. We hope to welcome the councils back soon - meanwhile NGOs and education bodies please do make contact.)
